BACK in December, somewhat ahead of the rest of the crowd, we started to talk about investing in
fertiliser components --- potash and phosphate --- as the world needs more and more food.
The latest development in this story is the announcement from China last week that it will clamp down on exporting
fertiliser. With food prices rising 21 per cent in the first three months, the Beijing bosses are trying to make sure
fertiliser prices don't rise and hurt its farmers due to supply problems at home.

Orocobre (ORE) has a lithium project in Argentina, but potash could be a lucrative by-product. First sampling has
begun. Reward Minerals (RWD) has reached agreement with the Martu people in Western Australia for the
development of the Lake Disappointment potash project, while South Boulder Mines (STB) has acquired three potash
and phosphate properties in that state.

other Fertiliser STOCK: MAK,MNM,RWD

PROPOSED ACQUISITION OF IRON ORE, DOLOMITE AND LIMESTONE
PROJECTS IN KOGI STATE, NIGERIA
Transaction Highlights:
· Black Fire Energy to acquire advanced package of iron deposits in Kogi State,
Nigeria.
· Package contains six projects containing magnetite style mineralisation. Potential
for hematite mineralisation also exists.
· The Company's exploration target is 400-600 million tonnes of potential iron
mineralisation grading between 15-65% averaging 30-36%. The potential quantity
and grade is conceptual in nature. There has been insufficient exploration to
define a Mineral Resource under the JORC Code and it is uncertain if further
exploration will result in the determination of a Mineral Resource.
· Potential access to existing beneficiation facilities at Itakpe as well as
transportation via an existing railway to Warri Terminus, 24km from the port.
· Project proximity to existing rail, road and power infrastructure to limit CAPEX
requirements and fast track project development.
· Availability of substantial historical geological data generated by the Geological
Survey of Nigeria and National Steel Raw Materials Exploration Agency
(NSRMEA).
· Alliance with the Sovereign Ruler of Ebira Kingdom, Kogi State, Nigeria, HM
King Dr Ado Ibrahim, provides access to further mineral opportunities within
Kogi State.
· Favourable political and regulatory environment for foreign investment. New
Minerals and Mining Act introduced in February 2007.
· Development of limestone and dolomite resources as feedstock to the Ajaokuta
Steel complex and extension as feedstock to existing cement production.

The Directors of Black Fire Energy Ltd (Black Fire Energy) (ASX:BFE, BFEO) are
pleased to announce that they have entered into a conditional Heads of Agreement to
acquire a 100% interest in AICO Ado Ibrahim Mining Company Ltd (AICO). AICO is
the beneficial owner of a package of exploration and mining licences in Kogi State,
Nigeria as follows:
Project Name Commodity Licence Details
Ebiya 1 & 2 Iron Ore EL 786 & 787 (granted)
Ajabanoko Iron Ore EL 764 (granted)
Chocochoco Iron Ore ELA 3683 & 3684 (pending)
Agbaja Iron Ore ELA 5360 (pending)
KotonKarfi Iron Ore ELA 5358 (pending)
Oguda Marble ML 788 & 2541 (granted)
Osara Dolomite/Feldspar ML 725 & 727 (granted)
On completion, Black Fire Energy will have an exclusive Alliance Deed with the
Sovereign Ruler of Ebira Kingdom, Kogi State, HM King Dr Ado Ibrahim, to securitise
mineral exploration opportunities in Kogi State and through this transaction he will
become a major shareholder of Black Fire Energy.

UAE Masdar new “green city” project alone is budgeted at US$22 billion. We are
cautiously confident of winning an attractive proportion of business in the various
cement sectors in this region and are in dialogue with a number of interested target
customers.

Or perhaps, as Eric Berkowitz emailed to Warren Buffett Watch, it's the comfort factor (which is also not necessarily contradictory.) "I think the bottom line is that Buffett and Charlie Munger are much more comfortable investing in terrific All-American companies with great brands and strong, long lasting fundamentals. A major investment in an overseas company represents the same unknown factor that kept them out of the technology and internet boom and bust of the late 1990s."

    1.巴菲特没有预测到石油价格趋势——石油是不可再生资源，未来石油价格必将新高不断！

    2.巴菲特没有预测到中石油产能的爆发性增长——中石油发现的中国南堡油田储量要 远远高于原来的10亿吨(油当量)的储量。中国科学院院士、中国石油天然气股份有限公司副总裁贾承造9月22日于北京召开的中国油气论坛上透露说：“我们 预测最终南堡油田海上将探明10亿到16亿吨(油当量)的储量，加上陆上的储量，南堡油田的整个(探明)储量最终可能突破20亿吨。”

    3.巴菲特没有预测到中石油作为大蓝筹回归A股势在必行。

    号称“股神”的巴菲特其实并不神！

=======

巴菲特是价值投资型，对泡泡股不敢兴趣。

====

kenneth: 从图上可以看出，巴菲特在3/10，4/10，8/10又卖出了大量的中石油，并且会清空。 有没有犯低级错误，市场自己会说明的。

Highlights

• Metallurgical testing results of Canegrass Nickel Cobalt Project
• Confirms expected upgrade potential and nickel recovery from wet screening
• Similar beneficiation characteristics to Norilsk Nickel’s Cawse deposit

Halcyon Group Ltd (ASX:HCY) is pleased to announce results of metallurgical testing of its Canegrass Nickel Cobalt Project,
(tenements M24/290 and M24/39) covering an area of 15.4 km2 of the highly prospective Walter Williams Formation, located 70
kilometres north west of Kalgoorlie.
Metallurgical bulk samples of “upgradeable ore” were extracted using a Caldwell rig in the Patch-Gulch area in June 2007. The
samples were tested for beneficiation potential (wet & dry screening), grindability, abrasion index, and sizings by AMTEC.
Comparing dry and wet screening, samples from Patch-Gulch area provide expected upgrades to Ni % and Ni metal recovery. The
results confirm that wet screening is more effective than dry screening, with the grade doubling and a 50% recovery of Ni metal.
For example, a head grade sample as low as 0.45% Ni was beneficiating up to 0.9% Ni with a 50% recovery.
Managing Director, Iggy Tan said that the positive results confirm exactly what the Company expects of the Canegrass ore body.
The project is roughly 25 km along strike to the Cawse Nickel Operations owned by Norilsk Nickel.
“As we expected the beneficiation potential of our ore is very similar to the Cawse deposit. The Cawse operation utilises a
crushing and wet screening beneficiation plant at the front end of their process and obtain very similar upgrade performances”, said

MPJ breakout, closed at 0.011 , it will begin to run very fast in the following weeks.

http://imagesignal.comsec.com.au/asxdata/20071001/pdf/00765124.pdf

Dear Shareholder,
The past financial year has been a major success for the Company. We have continued with our
exploration efforts at the Talga Peak Project in the Pilbara, where we have continued to record
interesting base metals results. The Company recently announced its EM survey results which
have highlighted a number of strong targets that warrant further drilling.
The major transformation over the past two years has been the growth of the Company’s balance
sheet, net profit and net tangible assets (NTA). In 2005-6 Mining Projects Group Limited
(“MPJ”) had net assets of $4.1m, reported a net operating loss of $4.6m, and had NTA backing
of approximately 0.27 cents per share. As at 30 June 2007 MPJ reported that net assets have
grown to $18.5m, a net profit of $6.5m and NTA backing of 1.23 cents per share, an increase
of approximately 350% over the period.
The favourable financial position in which the Company finds itself is the result of a number
of well executed business decisions that were implemented by the board over recent periods.
MPJ has consistently invested its funds in what it believes are worthwhile mining projects and
where appropriate, has elected to leverage those investments into shares and options in listed
public companies. The growth in the value of these investments has provided MPJ with a substantial
net asset position, principally in the form of listed securities. It is the intention of MPJ to realise
the value of some of these shareholdings and use the proceeds to acquire and develop new and
potentially valuable mining projects in its own right.
The Company has been delighted with its association with, and the performance of, companies
such as Atlas Iron Limited, Mintails Limited and Eleckra Mines Limited all of which have created
significant value for MPJ shareholders.
In terms of the reported net profit of $6.5m shareholders should note that these profits are yet to be
realised as they are based predominantly on the increase in the value of investments in the Company’s
portfolio, and may therefore be subject to market fluctuations, both positive and negative.
It has been a most rewarding year for the Company. however, it would be pleasing to see MPJ
shareholders rewarded through the MPJ share price more closely reflecting the Company’s
potential and intrinsic value.
It has been an excellent 12 months for MPJ and on behalf of the board I thank you for your
ongoing support.
Bryan J. Frost

MINERALS CORPORATION(MSC.ax) TO EMERGE AS ONE OF THE WORLD’S LEADING CHINA CLAY COMPANIES

14/09/2007

Seven years after buying it’s initial China Clays investment, Minerals Corporation Limited is emerging as Australia’s leading industrial minerals company – with assets spread across Australia’s major China Clay - or Kaolin – deposits at Skardon River, QLD and Swan River, WA.

With plans to float its successful china clay business in London in November, the company is now focussing on a number of highly promising projects with the potential to take the company into another major growth phase.

Managing director and CEO Mr Vic Alexander told The Australian Investor its china clay inestment has grown from an initial A$6m investment to around A$60m at cost, with an independent valuation of about A$180m.

“We recently restructured the business to consolidate all the clay assets into one entity. Registered as Australian China Clays plc, Minerals Corporation will be the dominant shareholder and operator when the new company floats on the LSE AIM Market in November, and this will be an important step in returning value to our loyal shareholders.” The float will help fund a full-scale processing plant in WA as well as port infrastructure to meet expected annual throughput of over 150,000 tpa at Skardon River.

Demand for premium grade kaolin is on the increase – it’s a major manufacturing ingredient in products ranging from coated papers, paints and polymers, rubber, ceramics, pharmaceuticals and cosmetics. The fastest growth area is Asia.

“It has taken 7 years to develop Skardon River into a world-class kaolin producer, and marketer of fine-grain premium quality Kaolin. The mine life is expected to be in excess of 100 years, and is well positioned to service the growing demand from Asia”. Over two thirds of the tenements have yet to be drilled.

“Because of delays and the long lead times - typical in building a customer base for industrial minerals - it has taken us longer than expected, and a considerable amount of fund rasing – through equity and debt. With over 1.5b shares on issue, today the share price is severely devalued , but early next month we will redeeming about half of our A$15m debentures, and some equity buy-back activity may be considered early 2008.”

In addition, the company has recently sponsored the float of private equity investment company China Century Capital Limited, (CCY), on the ASX raising A$6.6m, Mr Alexander explained, “The Chinese economy is continuing it’s strong growth, and China Century Capital is able to tap-into the huge demand for investment in China.” China Century Capital’s portfolio holds investments in renewable energy, telecommunications and construction minerals. Minerals Corporation holds a 22% stake in CCY and Mr Alexander is an executive director.

“The outcome of all this is that we expect a “new” Minerals Corporation to emerge towards the end of the year, and we have set our sights high for some major developments. For example, our 50% JV copper and uranium play in Belfield, QLD has the reasonable potential to be another Mt Isa – it is showing all the right early stage signatures. We are still at pre-drill, but the ground chemistry and recent aeromagnetic survey offer encouragement for a big potential resource,” Mr Alexander said.

“ We are watching closely our 25% share in the zircon rich Eucla Basin, as recent multi-billion dollar finds nearby discovered by Iluka and our own latest drilling results indicating a A$1b in-ground resource are very exciting. The area could well become the leading world province for heavy minerals and zircon, and we have options to increase our share with operator Diatreme Resources Limited to 35% in 2009, by which time we expect to have completed full feasibility”.

“Of course, developments continue in our WA and China premium grade kaolin projects. So, I think it’s reasonable to say that as there is strong expectation for the share price to more realistically reflect the true value of the company as these projects are better defined and become recognised by the market. The total asset value is many times the current market capitalisation.” Mr Alexander concluded.
